After 22 incredible years with Way-Mar Inc., Paul Fretz is hanging up his sales hat and stepping into retirement!
Paul has been a familiar and trusted face in our General Carpentry division, helping homeowners bring their visions to life — from dream kitchens and relaxing bathrooms to full home makeovers. His knowledge, creativity, and easygoing approach have left a lasting mark on both our company and the many homes he’s helped transform. Beyond the projects, Paul has been a valued teammate, a steady listener, and someone who always brought a little humour into the day. We’ll miss the stories, the coffee chats, and his knack for finding the perfect solution for both customers and crews alike.
Paul, thank you for your years of dedication and for making Way-Mar a better place. We wish you a retirement filled with relaxation, new adventures, and plenty of time to enjoy the things you love most.
A Warm Welcome to Jeff Gilbert
At the same time, we’re excited to announce that Jeff Gilbert will be stepping into Paul’s role as of September 22, 2025.
Jeff brings a unique blend of design expertise, project coordination, and hands-on construction experience. He is a Red Seal Carpenter, holds a BCIN designer designation, and has worked as both an architectural technologist and a foreman leading residential renovation projects over the past nine years. Jeff has experience building custom cabinets— a great example of his commitment to quality and detail.
Alongside his technical skills, Jeff is known for his approachable style, strong customer relationships, and ability to bring projects from concept to completion with professionalism and care.
We’re confident Jeff will be a great fit for our customers and we’re excited to see the fresh ideas and energy he will bring.
